Where to Stream Terrifier 1-2 Before Terrifier 3 Scares Us to Death

Art the Clown is back, and this time he's got a bigger budget and an appetite for even more blood.

In just a few short months, Art the Clown will return when Terrifier 3 hits theaters, adding Christmas to the list of holidays the now-iconic killer clown will terrorize. For more than a decade now, Art has been finding bigger audiences to horrify, and as the first teaser trailer clearly shows (see below), Terrifier 3 is poised to be his biggest film yet.

Before the third film arrives, you'll probably want to catch up on Terrifier and Terrifier 2, so you're all set for the latest chapter in writer/director Damien Leone's horrifying slasher epic.

Where Can You Stream Terrifier and Terrifier 2?

If you want to catch up on both films ahead of the third installment, Terrifier and Terrifier 2 are now streaming on Peacock.

Art the Clown actually has his roots in Leone's 2013 anthology film All Hallows' Eve, which features Art the Clown (played by Mike Giannelli) in a series of shorts set on Halloween. The character really broke through, though, with his own standalone slasher film, Terrifier, in 2018. That film features David Howard Thornton as Art, a mute clown armed with a garbage bag full of weapons and a taste for ultraviolence, terrorizing various people on Halloween night.

The franchise hit yet another level with Terrifier 2 in 2022, as Art returned seemingly from the dead to battle a young woman named Sienna (Lauren LaVera) who seems destined to fight and defeat him in battle. With an epic runtime to match its over-the-top kills, Terrifier 2 raised the bar for the franchise, and set the stage for a third installment.

While both movies aren't for the faint of heart, they do also retain a darkly comedic element that gives everything a near-cartoonish quality to go with all the blood and guts. That's made them a fan-favorite for slasher devotees over the last decade or so, and it's no wonder we're getting a third movie after the warm reception Terrifier 2 got.

Terrifier 3 Drops First Teaser

Announced shortly after Terrifier 2 became a runaway box office hit in late 2022, Terrifier 3 will move the action from Halloween to Christmas, and follow Art's resurrection just as everyone around him is drifting off to sleep on Christmas Eve. Fortunately for all the locals, Sienna is still around, as LaVera will reprise her role from Terrifier 3 and battle Art (once again played by Thorton) at least one more time.

The first teaser trailer for the film arrived this week, and while it doesn't offer much in the way of plot, it does give us all the Art the Clown atmosphere you'd expect. Set to "Silent Night," the teaser intercuts dramatic, slower sequences with fast cuts of violent terror, and its centerpiece is Art laying down in a pool of blood from one of his victims to make a blood angel. How festive.

Once again written and directed by Leone, Terrifier 3 is set to hit theaters October 11, just in time for Halloween viewing.

In the meantime, Terrifier and Terrifier 2 are now streaming on Peacock!
