Warning: If you don't want to know what happened in this episode, don't read this photo recap!

In Old Town, D'avin is getting into alley brawls now that he's off the team and no longer living aboard Lucy. Meanwhile, he catches Alvis with some contraband, and they have a little disagreement about covert warfare and how the upcoming rebellion in Old Town is not Dav's war.

Speaking of which, elsewhere, Pree exposits the rumor that the Nine are threatening to renege on the deal where third-gen Westerleyns get to emigrate to Leith.

Johnny tells Dutch he has a plan to help her find Khlyen. He introduces her to Carleen, his tech friend. She's been tinkering with the neuro-link and says they can find Khlyen tonight.

Dav and "creepy little" Alvis chat at the bar. Alvis wants to make sure Dav will keep his mouth shut about the weapons he saw. Dav: "If you put enough beer in it."

In order to find Khlyen, Dutch needs to hook herself up with the neuro-link again. Her consciousness gets projected into deep space, where she finds a glowy plasma thing — cutting edge technology, says Carleen. Dutch says Khlyen is close, but Carleen says her vitals are risky.

Dutch sees Khlyen and the numbers "71" on the walls. She starts to freak out and seize on the table, so Johnny pulls her out. She knows where Khlyen is: he's in the RAC, on the highest floor.

Time for a covert op into the RAC! Dutch convinces Johnny to let Dav help them. Dutch isn't sure she can kill Khlyen, but more importantly, she wants answers, even though she has no leverage.

Later, Dutch has a flashback to Khlyen, who tells her, "You are Yalena, of the family Jardin," and that her father sent him to train her.

Dav's bright idea is to tell the RAC that they've come to dissolve their team. But Turin, the jerky RAC guy who hates Dutch, doesn't quite buy it. He suspects they're up to something. Dav confesses his attempt to kill Dutch in order to get Turin to believe them, though this might get his Killjoy status revoked altogether. (Or worse!)

Dav uses one of Alvis' devices to knock out power/locks/comm links in the RAC. Dav sends Dutch and Johnny after Khlyen while he remains back with Turin.

Check out the fake titanium staples on Johnny! The better to sneak in a syringe for Dutch. John warns Dutch that if she gets busted, it's all over for them. So don't get busted.

Meanwhile, Turin starts leaning on Dav for information about Dutch. He wants to know why she appears to have been protected from on high. "Why is she marked for Red 17?" he continues. Dav remembers the significance of that name.

Johnny uses a cool little device to clone Khlyen's voice.

Dutch finds Khlyen, so they fight! She reveals the syringe - it's the same kind of poison he made her kill someone with once.

Killjoys_gallery_109Recap_15.jpg
172296

Dutch holds the poison to her own neck. She realized that she is Khlyen's only weakness. "I want you to know what it feels like to not be in control." He says he made her a weapon instead of a victim, which isn't a good enough answer, so she injects herself.

Johnny reaches the bowl of glowy green goo. It's humming and rippling with energy. It's a computer, like Carleen theorized, and he's able to operate it by dipping his hands in it. He downloads all the files on Khlyen, then he takes some of the goo with him, some for Carleen and some for him.

The alarms sound! Dav needs to get to Lucy ASAP. So he shorts out his electric cuffs with some water.

Dutch, the poison sinking in, has so many questions. Khlyen tells her he re-entered her life when she took that Level 5 kill warrant, because it told him she was finally ready (actually it was Johnny who took it on her behalf, so he could go save Dav). Dutch finally asks the big question: why her? Why did he pick her to train? They're interrupted by guards though.

Khlyen kills the guard.

Psych! Dutch didn't poison herself after all. She gets the jump on Khlyen, but she wants her answer. He tells her to take the shot, but he runs instead.

Our Killjoys escape to Lucy but she can't fly away while the RAC is on lockdown. Dutch makes it to the ship in time to override the locks on Lucy. She tells the boys to leave her behind. John won't do it, but Dutch (and Lucy) are making the calls.

Dutch gives herself up to Turin, but he shoots her in the leg. He wants to use her as bait to lure out her benefactor…

Unfortunately for Turin, he does lure out Dutch's benefactor. The ol' knife through the torso, courtesy of Khlyen.

Khlyen, with a father's concern, carries Dutch away. "Why do you keep protecting me?" she asks. "I need you to live," he says. "Did my father really send you? What are you?" "I'm Level 6." WHAT?

Back in Old Town, Alvis offers himself up to Hills, who arrests him for orchestrating the Leith Bazaar massacre. The Company cops beat him, right in front of the Old Town people.

Dutch returns to the boys, limping on her shot-up leg. She's lost a lot of blood. As she tells Dav about what Khlyen told her, Dav says that Level 6 Killjoys are a myth. But are they?

Khlyen drags Turin away, to await next week's season finale.
