It’s 1957. Cole and Cassie know where and when the paradox that collapses time happens, but with only 2 days to go, they have no idea who the Primary is. Time is running out.

Tension is running high with Cassie so Cole escapes to the hotel bar where he runs into a coworker, Charlie, who’s wife is dying of cancer. He tells Cole to go upstairs and make nice, since there is obviously something romantic there between he and Cassie.

When Cole returns to their room, Cassie has some great news. The plant where they work is hiring day laborers on the day the paradox happens. One of them could be the Primary!

Things are not going great back in 2045 for the squad looking into Titan (Yep, a year has passed). The temporal storms are closing in, they face warring militias everyday, and The Daughters are starting to grow weary of young Jennifer’s brand of crazy.

Adding to the low morale, Hannah returns from a scouting expedition reporting that after searching high and low she found no trace of Titan. Could this entire mission be a waste of time? Ramse and his team decide to charge on, but The Daughters refuse to help.

Cole thinks he may have found the Primary! The guy is twitchy and mutters to himself and Cassie even finds a monkey drawing on the back of his application! This has got to be the guy, right?

The next day, the day of the paradox, Cole and Cassie head to work. They have to have a plan to stop the paradox from happening...

If they do have a plan… Pretty sure this lady isn’t a part of it. Soon after Cole takes the Primary aside to kill him before he can be paradoxed, this lady shows up with a gun looking for her husband. Something feels off about this whole thing.

Oh no! Turns out the guy they thought was the Primary was hired to act weird by Cole's friend, CHARLIE! Who was a Messenger! And this woman walking around with the gun? CHARLIE’S WIFE and the PRIMARY! How are our heroes supposed to stop them, now?

Answer: They aren’t. The paradox happens. Cassie and Cole have failed their mission. Nooooooo!

Meanwhile, back in 2045, holy crap! That thing in the distance? Titan. Hannah swears that she searched this exact spot and there was nothing there. Curious… No matter, though, because Titan, The Witness, and time’s salvation are all right in front of them.

After the explosion, Cassie is in a coma. Cole comes and says goodbye, urging her to forget about him and build a life for herself. Which when she comes to almost a year later she does, but she is never able to let go of his memory.

Years later, Cassie’s search for Cole, or more accurately one of his pseudonyms, brings her to the front door of a house that looks very familar. It looks exactly like the house from those red tea hallucinations! She finds Cole being manly, chopping wood. He cuts his finger and his blood stains a blade of grass, later Cassie helps him wash the blood away. Seems we've heard this before, no?
He tells her he bought the house so the two of them could have a safe place together. (Awwwwwww)

Cassie goes inside the house only to discover that this doesn't just look like the house from her hallucinations, it is the house. It’s like the 12 Monkeys knew that they’d be here.

The hunt for Titan brought about exactly what the wise Jennifer Goines said it would: DEATH. The Witness and his followers were ready for Ramse and his team and ultimately slaughters them all.

In the end, Cassie and Cole decide to forget about what it means that the house is from her hallucinations and they couldn't stop the paradox. They have no way back to the future and they are safe here. They decide to (FINALLY) give love a chance.
