Dutch goes in pursuit of the creepy stowaway. Meanwhile, Lucy detects a possible contamination on the abandoned ship and begins quarantine procedures. That means pulling away and severing the connection between the ships.

The guy Dutch is chasing airlocks himself out into space, and Lucy isn't responding to anyone. WTH is going on?

The killjoys interrogate Hogan. He and "Wilson" (the airlock guy) were ship-pickers too, just like them, and the same thing happened to them a couple years ago. They've been stuck on the ship ever since. Hogan also says that he was an infantry man, and he and Dav bond over that. Dav's gut trusts him, so he takes Hogan to the infirmary while Dutch goes downstairs to find spacesuits.

Dutch finds a crazy wall downquarters that features more scrawled red text: "Red 17."

John finds a video in the ship's archives, and on it he sees younger Hogan among the ship's orginal crew. John tells Dav on comms that Hogan's not to be trusted.

Meanwhile, Dutch finds the cold corpses of what appear to be the original crew of scientists.

Uh oh, Hogan's wounds are self-healing! He and Dav fight, but Hogan gets the upper hand.

"Prepare for implantation." That's the computer program that Hogan is subjecting Dav to. Suddenly, white smoke enters Dav. It turns out to be an extreme interrogation technique: burning off flesh if Dav won't talk and healing him again when he gives an answer.

John and Dutch watch the videos of the interrogation/torture/deaths of the original crew, who can't answer the question "What is your connection to Red 17?" Dutch recognizes the woman as the corpse she found elsewhere in the ship.

Does Dav have something to hide? Hogan wants to know Dav's last army mission. He can't remember how it started, but he can remember that he killed his squad. And he can't remember why.

John and Dutch learn, via, the old videos that the program injects nanites into the subjects' bodies, and those nanites inflict damage and then heal that damage. They also learn that the interrogation program is on sub-level B.

Dutch has a plan: she basically lets herself get captured and implanted with the smoke. As the program begins interrogating her, Dutch blows up Hogan, and she and Dav make a run for it.
